Whirlwind damages tens of house in Central Java

Temanggung, Central Java (ANTARA News) – A whirlwind damaged tens of houses in the hilly Jlegong area, Krajan village, Temanggung District, Central Java province, on Monday.

At least 50 houses, a mosque and a local administration office were damaged by the whirlwind which occurred on Monday at around 3 pm local time, Jlegong Village Head Amien Suudi said here on Tuesday.

The strong wind also uprooted hundreds of trees, according to Asfari, a local resident.

The disaster caused material losses totaling Rp70 million, but claimed no lives.(*)
